Model/MUA/Wardrobe: Victoria Lam Location: Rosedown Plantation Assistant: Bradley Heikes
I'm not sure if any of you are aware it's against parish laws to set off "fireworks".... so what you see here was completely and utterly illegal; HOWEVER, it was so much fun! We were at Rosedown Plantation... which had people touring the grounds, so we had to be super careful not to arouse suspicion. Believe it or not we didn't! My boyfriend Bradley got creative himself and decided to use a glass of water to put our smoke bombs out after I got my money shot.
Side Note: It was the hottest day of the year in Louisiana yest and my poor model had to wear this dress that didn't breath in the slightest. She was a trooper for sure!
...oh yeah, and my mother was visiting TN and picked me up smoke bombs. LA passed a law about not being able to sell fireworks unless it's the two week period before 4th of July... In all honesty that sounds like a great idea for Louisianians... they don't need to be armed with fireworks year round.
Proof positive that Femme Fatales and fireworks will never be separated no matter the efforts or number of passed laws against these incompatible pyrotechnic associations. Love the look of the elegant Enchantress in a garden invoking and unleashing the outcome of her spells. i wonder what end result came of the Sorceress casting her crimson creation under the very noses of the authorities. As the sing said, never underestimate the power of a Woman, more so in pursuit of the precise portrait of her plots and plans that she wants.
